Mike Huckabee: Women At Fox News Are “Just Trashy”

Former Arkansas Governor  (and Fox News show host) Mike Huckbee on Des Moines radio show “Mickelson in the Morning” on the staff at Fox News:

“In the South, or in the Midwest, there in Iowa, you would not have people who would just throw the F-bomb or use gratuitous profanity in a professional setting. In New York, not only do the men do it, but the women. My gosh, this is worse than locker-room talk. As we would say in the South, that’s just trashy.”

Huckabee ended his Fox News show just last month to prepare for a possible run for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination.

Fox News’ Megyn Kelly Calls Mike Huckabee “F*ckabee”

Fox News’ Megyn Kelly had a slip of the tongue Monday night as she introduced former Arkanasa governor Mike Huckabee:

“Joining me now, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, who is the host of Fucka– ah, Huckabee right here on the Fox News channel…”

Not sure if she was thinking “Fox” and “Huckabee” at the same time or what. But it sure got the inter webs going… 🙂

Tony Perkins: Dan Cathy of Chick-Fil-A is a “coward”

In a strange, topsy-turvy world, Mike Huckabee chats with hate group leader Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council about how those who would keep the LGBT community from having equal rights are somehow the ‘victims’ of attacks on their religious freedoms. See, in their world, it is their right to discriminate against other Americans. And those who would seek to express themselves through their wallets are “economic terrorists.”

During the segment, Tony Perkins calls out Chick-Fil-A CEO Dan Cathy as a “coward” for stepping back from his opposition to marriage equality.

But remember, Tony Perkins and his ilk are the ‘victims’ here.

Joe Jervis of JoeMyGod explains the anti-gay view of boycotts like this:

When major national Christian groups with millions of followers call for boycotts, that is a righteous use of the free market in order to preserve morality, marriage, family, and the American way. But when gay folks call for a boycott, THAT is homofascist intimidation, intolerance, bullying, economic terrorism, a stifling of religious liberty, and an attempt to deny the freedom of speech. And don’t you forget it.

Mike Huckabee questions if President Obama has religious convictions

Mike Huckabee recently defended his position on gay marriage by saying it’s not homophobia to be on “the right side of the Bible.”

Huckabee explained those remarks on The O’Reilly Factor Friday night, telling Laura Ingraham that his position is no different from what President Obama, Joe Biden, and Hillary Clinton professed to believe in 2008.

Much of America held the same opinion back in 2008 and have now evolved. What I guess Huckabee is trying to say is that he’s years behind where a majority of Americans are now.

Huckabee called out Obama specifically for saying in 2008 he supported traditional marriage because of his Christian convictions. Huckabee said that either Obama lied then or is lying now, and wondered of those convictions, “Does he have them or does he not?”

Mike Huckabee: “This is the right side of the Bible”

Speaking at the Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition yesterday, Mike Huckabee spoke out about the SCOTUS decision to let stand the ruling by a lower court against a New Mexico photographer who refused to shoot the commitment ceremony for a gay couple.

Said Huckabee:

“Why is it that Christians stand back and take it in the teeth time and time and time again? But we cannot change this country if we do not rise up and vote with an informed mind and a committed spirit and if we’re not willing to stand along.”

Huckabee also had some choice words regarding the rights of the LGBT community:

“I’m not against anybody. I’m really not. I’m not a hater. I’m not homophobic. I honestly don’t care what people do personally in their individual lives…But … when people say, ‘Why don’t you just kind of get on the right side of history?’ I said, ‘You’ve got to understand, this for me is not about the right side or the wrong side of history, this is the right side of the Bible, and unless God rewrites it, edits it, sends it down with his signature on it, it’s not my book to change.’ Folks, that’s why I stand where I stand.”
