I love how this version contrasts with the original.

Listen to the 1970 version, then this one. This song is about innocence and wisdom all at once. The symbolism of watching her when innocent, then wise, is breathtaking. This is how the song should be experienced.

I hate that it has taken me time to understand it. Even though I could guess that at a younger age that I would look back and miss things, I never knew how powerful the feeling might be.
