Turbulence Sends Flight Attendant & Service Cart Flying

Passengers flying from Kosovo to France got tossed like a salad as you can see in this quick video shot during a bout of turbulence so strong a flight attendant and her service cart went flying.

If you ever needed a reason to listen to your pilot when they tell you to buckle up, there’s turbulence on the way, remember this episode.

Passengers flying from Kosovo to France got tossed like a salad as you can see in this quick video shot during a bout of turbulence so strong a flight attendant and her service cart went flying.

In the screen capture above, that’s the upside down service cart in the upper left that landed on top of passengers.

In the end, 10 people had to be rushed to the hospital for injuries including serious burns from spilled hot water.

Add “Remove Cat” To Pre-Flight Checklist

Over 7 million views in two days. The pilot’s double-take at the one minute mark is perfection.

Via the Guardian:

A cat has escaped with at least one of its nine lives after stowing away on an ultra-light aircraft flight.

A video has been posted on YouTube of the cat digging its claws into the aircraft’s wing as its pilot and passenger fly hundreds of feet above the ground at first apparently unaware of its presence.

Romain Jantot, understood to be the pilot in the clip, cites a flying club in Kourou, French Guiana, in the film’s description.

“A standard flight until … I still don’t know if it got in after the pre-flight check or if I missed it,” he says. “The cat is doing well, she is still our mascot.”

All appears well and cat-free as the aircraft accelerates on the runway and begins its takeoff. But about 38 seconds into the clip, the cat slowly creeps into view under the plane’s left wing, making its way towards the pilot and passenger with a sinister slow crawl.

Just after a minute has passed, the pilot’s shock is clear as he notices the windswept stowaway. Never before has a man’s face said “there’s a cat on the wing of my plane” with such unequivocal clarity.

5 things that would surprise you about flight attendants

Heather Poole, a veteran flight attendant and the author of “Cruising Attitude,” recently gave ABC News’ “20/20” the inside scoop about flight attendants and flying the friendly skies that might surprise you:

!. They hate delays as much as you do
“Everybody’s always surprised to learn that we’re only paid for when the door is shut. … So if there’s a delay, or mechanical [problem], we’re not getting paid.”

2. They know when you’re hiding your cell phone call
“When you’re sitting there with your head between your legs, and you’re talking to the floor,” said Poole, “I don’t think you have a friend down there. I know what you’re doing.”

3. They have sly ways of cutting your alcohol content
Ask any flight attendant what the biggest booster of passenger misbehavior is, and the answer will be: drinking. Flight attendants don’t have to confront drunk passengers and visibly cut them off. They simply weaken the drinks.

4. They know when you’re joining the mile-high-club in the restroom
“The bathroom line just keeps getting longer and longer and longer,” Poole said. “So we knock. We pray they come out with their pants up.”

5. They know when you’re joining the mile-high-club in your seats
“When one passenger is sitting on top of another passenger, you have a pretty good idea of what might be happening there,” Poole said. “Throw that blanket away!”
