Traditional marriage isn’t the “one man, one woman” story you’ve always heard. It’s changed countless times over the last 4,000 years, almost always for the better.

Let’s take a look at all the different things that marriage has been, and the one thing that has remained constant about marriage over all those millennia.

Baume sums it up well like this: “Letting same-sex couples get married is actually completely traditional. It’s part of the tradition of constantly improving the institution of marriage.”

The Facts About Gov. Bobby Jindal

Now that Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal has officially announced his candidacy for the 2016 GOP nomination for president, the Human Rights Campaign wants to remind of some facts regarding Mr. Jindal:

Throughout his political career, Bobby Jindal has routinely opposed efforts to move toward LGBT equality, and he’s bragged that he was not a politician who was going to change his anti-LGBT positions based on “polling.”

He’s even worked against existing Louisiana protections that protected LGBT workers from discrimination.
