Donald Trump Test-Drives “Trump TV” Via Facebook

Starting tonight at 6:30PM ET, Donald Trump will begin streaming a live “show” via Facebook Live that could well be the forerunner of a future TRUMP TV.

The live-stream will be hosted by Boris Epshteyn, a senior adviser to the campaign, Tomi Lahren, a conservative commentator for Glenn Beck’s TheBlaze, and Cliff Sims, another Trump adviser. Tonight’s “premiere” will feature interviews with Trump campaign manager KellyAnne Conway and adviser Jason Miller.

The series, which will stream Trump’s rallies directly each night and feature pre-and post-event commentary, comes on the heels of the campaign’s debate night Facebook Live last week, which brought in more than 9 million views.

Members of the media quickly seized on the event, calling it a test drive for Trump TV, the post-election television network that Trump is rumored to be considering in the event he loses in November. Despite reports that his son-in-law has been talking to media dealmakers about Trump TV, Trump himself has denied he has any interest in such a thing.

Epshteyn says this nightly Facebook Live stream is simply a way for the campaign to circumvent the mainstream media Trump so publicly loathes. “We all know how strong the left wing media bias is. This is us delivering our message to voters,” he says. “It has nothing to do with Trump TV. It’s about using 21st century technology and communication in a way that’s effective.”

You have to wonder if Trump will evolve into the new “Baghdad Bob…?”

Muddled Republican Message – Winning? Behind? Tied?

Over the weekend, Donald Trump’s campaign manager Kellyanne Conway admitted that her candidate is currently behind in the race for the White House.

On the campaign trail today, Donald Trump told supporters that he’s winning and that the polls that he’s championed for a year now are faked.

Today, RNC spokesman Sean Spicer told CNN that the contest is in a dead heat, and that the media is pushing polling results showing Trump behind so that Republican voters will stay home.

You have to wonder – which is it? Behind? Winning? Tied?

Or is Spicer doing his job trying to keep GOP morale up so down ballot candidates don’t lose in their races?

During a heated and contentious interview with CNN’s John Berman and Kate Bolduan, RNC communications director Sean Spicer insisted that the race for the White House was a “dead heat” and said that Republican nominee Donald Trump was ahead in several key battleground states.

Per Spicer, the whole thing is even and many polls show Trump is trending up. The spokesperson pointed out a recent national poll from IBD that shows a tied race to justify his belief that it is a dead heat. At that point, Berman interrupted him, saying that they are now getting three narratives — Trump is winning, Trump is behind and now Trump is tied.

Bolduan jumped in to push Spicer to take a side since they had just showed Trump saying that he is winning right now. The Republican strategist then said that Trump was right because he’s winning the state he is currently in, which is Florida.

“He’s winning in Florida,” Berman asked. “Absolutely,” Spicer responded. When Berman questioned by how much, Spicer answered that it was by a “few points.”

Hillary Clinton: Donald Trump Is A “Sore Loser”

As Donald Trump continues to sink in the presidential polls due to misfires on the campaign trail, Democrat Hillary Clinton called Trump’s refusal to accept the outcome of the national election proof that he’s a “sore loser.”

“To say you won’t respect the results of the election, that is a direct threat to our democracy,” Clinton told a rally at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. “The peaceful transfer of power is one of the things that makes America America.”

“And look, some people are sore losers, and we just got to keep going,” she added.

In preparation for a loss on election day, Trump has begun making calls of a “rigged election” a regular part of his stump speech even though there’s no proof of any voter fraud.

Elections are run in a decentralized manner by the individual states. Considering the tens of millions of votes across 50 states, the majority of which are run by Republican governors and secretaries of state, it would be virtually impossible for widespread voter fraud to occur.

Donald Trump Lies About Michelle Obama Quote

Another day, another lie from Lying Don.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump shared the above little bon mot with his Twitter followers today. Only snag here is First Lady Michelle Obama didn’t say the quote about Hillary Clinton.

If fact it’s taken so far out of text it’s practically in orbit around Pluto.

Here’s the full quote from Michelle Obama, via the Pulitzer Prize-winning fact checking website Politifact, which shows the quote was not about Hillary but actually about children.

“One of the most important things that we need to know about the next president of the United States is, is he somebody that shares our values? Is he somebody that respects family? Is (he) a good and decent person? So our view was that, if you can’t run your own house, you certainly can’t run the White House. So, so we’ve adjusted our schedules to make sure that our girls are first, so while he’s traveling around, I do day trips. That means I get up in the morning, I get the girls ready, I get them off, I go and do trips, I’m home before bedtime. So the girls know that I was gone somewhere, but they don’t care. They just know that I was at home to tuck them in at night, and it keeps them grounded, and, and children, the children in our country have to know that they come first. And our girls do and that’s why we’re doing this. We’re in this race for not just our children, but all of our children.”

Politifact rated Trump’s claim that the quote was about Hillary as “False.”

The website writes, “Trump is wrong to imply that Michelle Obama’s criticism came in an ad her husband ran against Hillary Clinton. Instead, it came from an ad made by a pro-Trump super PAC.”

Former RNC Chief Michael Steele Adds His Name To Growing List Of Republicans Who Won’t Vote Trump

Former Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele is the latest in a line of former GOP party heads to announce he will not be voting for his party’s nominee, Donald Trump.

Former Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele just can’t stomach voting for either major-party presidential candidate. “I was damn near puking during the debates,” Steele said Thursday at a dinner in San Francisco in honor of the 40th anniversary of Mother Jones.

Steele, who led the RNC from 2009 to 2011 as the first black GOP chairman, said he won’t be casting a ballot for his party’s nominee Donald Trump, and he won’t vote for Democrat Hillary Clinton either. He cannot support Trump because he has “captured that racist underbelly, that frustration, that angry underbelly of American life and gave voice to that,” Steele said. He also argued that Trump only represents about 30 percent of the Republican Party.

In addition to Steele, four other former RNC chairmen have declared they cannot support Donald Trump: Marc Racicot, Mel Martinez, Bill Brock, and Ken Mehlman.

President Obama To Donald Trump: “Stop Whining”

President Obama had a “mic drop” moment today during a press conference at the White House when asked about Donald Trump’s “rigged election” comments.

Obama suggested that Trump’s “whining” indicates he doesn’t “have what it takes” to be president.

Via ABC News:

“I have never seen in my lifetime or in modern political history any presidential candidate trying to discredit the elections and the election process before votes have even taken place. It’s unprecedented. It happens to be based on no facts,” the president said during a joint news conference at the White House with Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi.

“If you start whining before the game’s even over? If whenever things are going badly for you and you lose, you start blaming somebody else, then you don’t have what it takes to be in this job,” the president said, pointing towards the Oval Office behind him. “I’d advise Mr. Trump to stop whining and go try to make his case to get votes.” The president added that if Trump does end up winning the election, he would welcome him as the next president.

“If he got the most votes then it would be my expectation of Hillary Clinton to offer a gracious concession speech and pledge to work with him in order to make sure the American people benefit from an American government, and it would be my job to welcome Mr. Trump, regardless of what he said about me or my differences with him on my opinions and escort him over to the capitol in which there would be a peaceful transfer of power,” Obama said.

Six Witnesses Come Forward Corroborating PEOPLE Reporter Allegation Of Trump Sexual Assault

PEOPLE reporter Natasha Stoynoff, who came forward last week with her own story about sexual assault by Donald Trump during an interview session, has gotten back-up from colleagues and friends who are putting their own names out there in support of her story.

Here’s just an excerpt of the PEOPLE story today:

Six colleagues and close friends who corroborate former PEOPLE writer Natasha Stoynoff’s account of being attacked by Donald Trump in 2005 are now coming forward. Among them is a friend who was with Stoynoff when she ran into Melania Trump later in N.Y.C.

The wife of the Republican nominee denies meeting Stoynoff after the attack, but Stoynoff’s friend Liza Herz remembers being there during the chance meeting.

“They chatted in a friendly way,” Herz, who met Stoynoff in college, says. “And what struck me most was that Melania was carrying a child and wearing heels.”

Marina Grasic, who has known Stoynoff for more than 25 years, says she got a call from her friend the day after the attack. Stoynoff detailed everything about the attack, from Trump pushing her against a wall to the business mogul showing up at her massage appointment the following day, she says.

According to Grasic, her longtime friend was embarrassed and even thought of Trump’s then-pregnant wife when deciding not to come forward about the encounter.

“Natasha was also struggling about not hurting pregnant Melania if the story came out,” Grasic says. “Beyond just the attack, she was horrified by the vulgar circumstances under which she was attacked and propositioned to have an affair. She was there in a professional capacity, writing an article about their happy marriage, and after the incident Trump acted like nothing happened.

Stoynoff’s former journalism professor, Paul McLaughlin, says that the writer called him in tears looking for advice the very night of the harrowing encounter. However, he cautioned her to remain quiet in fear of how Trump may retaliate.

“She wasn’t sure what she should do,” McLaughlin recalls. “I advised her not to say anything, because I believed Trump would deny it and try to destroy her.”

Matthew Shepard’s Mother Denounces Donald Trump’s “Hate” Rhetoric

A new campaign spot from Priorities USA features Judy Shepard, the mother of Matthew Shepard, denouncing the dark and hateful rhetoric coming out of the Donald Trump campaign.

As many know, Matthew Shepard was the victim of a hate crime in 1998 in Laramie, Wyoming. Two men pretended to be gay after meeting Matthew, then they kidnapped him, beat him and left him for dead tied to a fence in the cold Wyoming night.

“When I see the hate that Donald Trump brings to his campaign for president, it terrifies me. Words have an influence. Violence causes pain. Hate can rip us apart. I know what can happen as the result of hate, and Donald Trump should never be our president.”

Trump Supporter Threatens Violence: “Hillary Needs To Be Taken Out”

More threats of violence as a Trump supporter who describes himself as a “patriot” says if Hillary Clinton is elected president, he would do everything in his power to take her out.

The supporter, identified as 50-year-old Dan Bowman, told the Wall Street Journal last Thursday, “I feel like Hillary needs to be taken out. If she gets into government, I’ll do everything in my power to take her out of power. Which if I have to be a patriot, I will.”

When asked what he meant, Bowman responded, “Take it any way you want to take it.” After the Journal told him it sounded like a threat, Bowman said, “I’m a patriot.”

Bowman, who was wearing a Trump mask, also told the Boston Globe that Clinton should be “in prison or shot” and that there would be “a lot of bloodshed” if she won the election.

“If she’s in office, I hope we can start a coup,” Bowman told the Globe. “She should be in prison or shot. That’s how I feel about it. We’re going to have a revolution and take them out of office if that’s what it takes. There’s going to be a lot of bloodshed. But that’s what it’s going to take… I would do whatever I can for my country.”

A spokesperson for the Secret Service told BuzzFeed News they would respond with a statement.
