Christine O’Donnell draws a crowd of 12 in Iowa

Tea party figure and former Delaware U.S. Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell (she lost the general election to Democrat Chris Coons by 17 points) met with Iowa tea party activists in West Des Moines this past Saturday.

The purpose, she said in an interview before the meeting began, was to gauge the presidential candidate preferences of Iowa tea party groups before she formally endorses a candidate.

“I will be endorsing somebody before the Iowa caucus, and as my top three tend to rotate, I wanted to get the input of my supporters,” she said.

The meeting was open to any interested tea party supporters, but held in private at a Jordan Creek Town Center restaurant. O’Donnell’s father and an aide, Matt Moran, required attendees to sign a non-disclosure and confidentiality agreement before entering the meeting space.

Twelve people attended, including the two traveling with O’Donnell. The room was set up to accommodate 40.

You may recall in August, Tea Party organizers invited then un-invited Ms. O’Donnell to a rally in Iowa.

Iowa may not be Ms. O’Donnell’s kind of place…

Iowa Tea Party books then cancels Christine O’Donnell

From CNN: Organizers for Saturday’s tea party rally in Iowa Tuesday blamed an internal miscommunication over the event’s schedule for rescinding a speaking slot Tuesday for former Republican Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell.

Ken Crow, founder of the Tea Party of America, said initially he was “under the assumption we had an open slot” after her supporters had inquired Monday about whether she could speak.

O’Donnell is on a national speaking tour for her book, “Troublemaker.”

After the request for her to appear at the event was made to a fellow organizer, Crow looked at the speaking agenda and thought there was space for her. She was informed Monday she could speak, event co-organizer Charlie Gruschow told CNN Monday night.
Tuesday morning it was determined there was not enough time for her, Crow said.

Christine O’Donnell walks off the set of Piers Morgan – won’t answer questions about topics in her own book

Failed GOP senate candidate Christine O’Donnell walked off the set of CNN’s Piers Morgan tonight because he asked her questions about topics covered in her own book that she allegedly wrote regarding subjects like DADT, gay rights, etc…

Watch the video.

O’Donnell, whose handler apparently ended the interview, told Morgan that apparently she should be the one to decide what questions and topics were to be discussed, in dramatic contrast to normal interview practices.

Someone is obviously still living in a parallel universe.
