Chris Meloni On His Swag: ‘Sure, I’m A Zaddy’

Former Law & Order: SVU star Chris Meloni (now in his own franchise spin-off Law & Order: Organized Crime) has long been on our radar not only for his obvious ‘daddydom’ but that bootylicious backside.

And the fun part of it all is Meloni (and his wicked sense of humor) is totally down with us noticing those marvelous melons.

In a new feature with Interview Magazine, Meloni addresses several topics head-on including how those gonzo glutes came to be.

“This is what has happened,” says Meloni. “I’ve been blessed with glutes that have an attractive shape. But I have a trainer, and we’re going through bodybuilding phases, and where everyone kind of caught me was that I’d been preparing for one year in a very high-intensity weight training program that actually focused on legs.”

Our man Meloni added, “So I guess you could argue that the glute-peeping public are now reaping the benefits of all that hard work.”

Yes. Definitely count us as the ‘gluten-peeping public’ and we publicly applaud the hard work. And Meloni’s sassy Twitter responses are the icing on those ‘cakes.’

Interview also queries our hero on if he really is the ‘zaddy’ we see him to be. (The Urban Dictionary defines zaddy as a “handsome, fashionable, sexy man with swag.”

True to form, Meloni is straight-up on the label: “I’ve been called that a lot, and who am I to argue with it? Sure, I’m a zaddy.”

Interview also features Meloni in a retro-style photoshoot capturing some tongue-in-cheek workout pics while he addresses other topics like his ‘favorite tool in the house’ and more.

Souls will be bared, bodies will evolve and “spectacular routines” will be learned.

• Out: Demi Lovato and the cast of GLEE reunited for a moving video tribute to their late friend and castmate, Naya Rivera, at the GLAAD Media Awards last night.

• The Hill: The House Ethics Committee announced it is opening an investigation into embattled GOP Rep. Who am I to disagree?

In his recent interview at The Daily Beast, Chris covers his recent and upcoming work plus his departure from Law & Order: SVU.  But, when you have the “best butt in primetime,” you know the subject is going to come up:

“I’m tired of explaining my ass to people and how it got started. [Laughs] Fuckin’ Rachael Harris lit the fuse. Maybe I fanned the flames by a tweet or two, so I’ve got nothing more to say about that. It’s official. The people have spoken. I don’t want a coup over my ass. My ass rules, leave it be. Deal with it. Obama won, as did my ass. My ass won. Which means the American people won.”

In truth, it may have been more than a “tweet or two” but no one is complaining.  More please.

How do you not love a guy this cool?

LGBT ally and all around hottie Christopher Meloni talking to the Advocate:

“When it comes to homophobia, I think it’s a basic aspect of the human animal, which is to say we fear those things that we don’t know or understand. There’s comfort in tradition and change scares many people on a variety of levels.

“But it’s just sex. Everybody relax. All these arguments against [LGBT equality] is a bunch of flack being thrown up into the air to try to divert attention. Bigots love it when they can grab on to any kind of ‘gay perversion.’ But who are they kidding? Straights are just as perverse. We’re all a bunch of kinks, and we have a degree of kinkiness in all of us.”

Read the whole article because it’s worth it. At one point, when asked if he’s surprised he still has a big gay following since his bisexual role as Chris Keller on HBO’s “Oz” he jokingly answers “With the ass that I’m sporting? No,” he jokes before bursting into laughter.
