VH1 Announces “RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race”

Via Variety:

VH1 and World of Wonder Productions are providing you with an extension of the “RuPaul’s Drag Race” franchise in “RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race,” a new event series set to launch April 24 at 9:30 pm.

Each episode in the four-part event series will feature a trio of celebrities opening up their hearts and minds to the transformative power of drag.

After getting some help from beloved past contestants — deemed “Queen Supremes” — Alyssa Edwards, Asia O’Hara, Bob the Drag Queen, Kim Chi, Monét X Change, Monique Heart, Nina West, Trinity the Tuck, Trixie Mattel and Vanessa Vanjie Mateo, the celebrity contestants will compete in fan-favorite challenges and step onto the runway in their new looks.

At the end of each episode, one of that week’s three celebrity contestants will win the title of “America’s Next Celebrity Drag Race Superstar” and prize money for a charity of their choice.

The new “Celebrity Drag Race” limited series will follow new episodes of Season 12 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” which air Fridays at 8 p.m. on VH1.

Lance Bass Marries Longtime Boyfriend Michael Turchin

Former boy bander Lance Bass married his boyfriend of 3 years, Michael Turchin, at the Park Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles yesterday.

The guest list included Pussycat Dolls co-founder Robin Antin, Christina Appelgate, Carmen Electra, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump and husband Ken Todd, Backstreet Boys singer AJ McLean and Gabourey Sidibe.

The festivities were filmed for a 90-minute special “Lance Loves Michael: The Lance Bass Wedding” set to air on Thursday, Feb. 5 on E!

“The whole wedding itself is very classy, you know. We wanted to plan something that could last for 100 years,” Bass told E! “When we show our grandchildren this amazing tape of our wedding, the best wedding video ever, I want them to be able to look at this and be like, ‘Wow, that stood the test of time.’ So we’re using a lot of elements in the wedding that are classy, and one of those is definitely our first dance. The song we chose is a song that lasts forever, something that is very special to us.”
