Does Your Dog Insist On Sleeping With You?

Well, this just killed me.

One way to figure out whether your dog loves you is observing where he likes to sleep.

It’s part of a big controversy, but if your dog wants to sleep in your bed — even if you don’t allow it — he definitely loves you.

According to Gregory Berns, if a dog wants to sleep on your bed, it’s a good test of his loyalty because he doesn’t want to be separated from the pack.

Regular readers of The Randy Report know that Bruno the wonder dog (the daddy dog to our three 12 year old puppies) is my constant companion. Though out the day, where I go – he goes.

And yes, when we say “bedtime” the puppies run to their ‘bedroom’ – the laundry room.

But Bruno doesn’t even think about it. He just heads to where I sleep and calls it a night.

Happy Father’s Day To Bruno The Wonder Dog

I would be seriously remiss to not include “super daddy-dog” Bruno in the Father’s Day wishes.

From the day the puppies were born, he’s been a great dad.  He was serious “jungle gym dad” from the time they could play, as you can see from the pic above.  Click either pic to view larger.

Happy National Dog Day!

National Dog Day is celebrated August 26th annually and serves to help galvanize the public to recognize the number of dogs that need to be rescued each year, and acknowledges family dogs and dogs that work selflessly each day to save lives, keep us safe and bring comfort.

Happy birthday Bruno!

Eleven years ago today, my handsome wonder dog Bruno came into this world.

I can’t imagine life without “the Brun.” It’s hard to believe he hasn’t been a part of my life before 2002. He’s a great dog, a great friend, and me makes me feel like we’re more best friends than something like pet and owner – a phrase that feels distasteful to even write.

On top on his amazing qualities, he’s also a dad. At the age of one, he and our beautiful Sabrina gave us “the puppies,” who are all still with us today. And he’s been a great dad to the puppies from the first day he saw them.

I made the above video within days of Bruno becoming a part of my life. He’s just as spunky and confident today as he was then.

Happy happy birthday, Bruno! And Happy Father’s Day! You rock!
