Fox News’ Sandy Rios Hypothesizes That Amtrak Engineer’s Sexuality Played A Part In Derailment

Fox News contributor Sandy Rios told her radio show audience today that the engineer of the fatal Amtrak crash was a supporter of gay rights and may be gay himself, saying it was likely “a factor” the crash.

“Now I am not saying, I am not inferring to those of you that are gay rights activists and like to monitor this show, I’m not inferring that this accident happened because he was gay, but I do think it’s an interesting part of the story and you can bet it would be edited out.”

Rios went on to say the engineer could have possibly been “going through some confusion that has to do with the very core of who they are.”

I have no idea how this all boils down to being gay means you can’t be a train engineer.

I’m surprised she didn’t note the man is a ginger. We all know how crazy gingers are.

It’s probably a media conspiracy to protect gingers…

Amtrak Engineer Identified As Gay; Tea People Now Gathering Pitch Forks

According to reports, the engineer of the Amtrak train that derailed Tuesday night near Philadelphia, Brandon Bostian, is openly gay.

For that reason alone, the Tea People are gathering with their pitch forks.

Brandon Bostian was the engineer of an Amtrak train that derailed Tuesday night in north Philadelphia after barreling toward a sharp turn at speeds greater than 100 miles per hour, more than double the speed limit for the area.

The crash killed at least 7 people and injured more than 200, officials said.

The New York resident survived the crash, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer, as did the train’s conductor, who has not been named. Bostian was taken to the hospital and received 14 staples to close a laceration on his head, and was initially interviewed by police there, saying he didn’t remember much, according to ABC 6.

He said he moved to New York from San Francisco and had been active in the Proposition 8 fight.

“It’s kind of insulting to have to beg people for my right to marry,” he told the newspaper. “I feel like we shouldn’t even have to have this fight.”

GotNews, which first reported his name, called him a “gay activist,” and many Twitter users have reacted negatively to his sexuality, claiming he may have been a “diversity” hire by the government-funded Amtrak.

Philadelphia: Derailed Amtrak Train Was Traveling At Twice The Speed Limit

Several sources are now reporting that the Amtrak train derailement last night near Philadelphia, killing seven and injuring dozens, may have been caused by the train traveling at more than twice the speed limit.

An Amtrak train involved in a fatal crash here appears to have been traveling at more than 100 miles an hour as it entered a sharp curve where it derailed Tuesday night, killing at least six people, according to two people with knowledge of the investigation.

The speed limit in that section of track drops to 50 miles per hour, according to the Federal Railroad Administration.

Investigators are focusing on the possibility that excessive speed was a factor in the derailment, one of these people said.

Multiple cars overturned, severely injuring some passengers and pinning others. Six people were killed and more than 200 were injured, including eight who were in critical condition.

Amtrak is marketing to gay families with two stunning new ads, MetroWeekly reports:

As part of an effort to market its standard discounted family travel program, for the first time, the national passenger rail company included gay families in its materials. In an online ad sent by Instinct magazine to its email subscribers, a photo of same-sex parents with their child is featured.

Two versions of the ad, one with a picture of a male couple and another with a female couple, were distributed. Both versions include the headline: Priceless Family Moments Are Now Affordable. The ad goes on to promote Amtrak’s 50% off campaign for children age 2 to 15 who are traveling with an adult, and directs readers to its gay travel website www.AmtrakRideWithPride.com.
