L-R Romona Agruma and Rebel Wilson (via Instagram)Actress Rebel Wilson came out as lesbian in a social media post today telling the world, “I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince… but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess #loveislove.”
The announcement was paired with a photo of Rebel and her “princess,” Ramona Agruma.
In March, Rebel posted a quick video of the twosome modeling their dresses for Oscar night.
Last month, Wilson told PEOPLE about being set up with her new partner “through a friend,” though she didn’t reveal who the love interest was at the time.
“We spoke on the phone for weeks before meeting. And that was a really good way to get to know each other,” she said. “It was a bit old-school in that sense — very romantic.”
I actually met Rebel in Australia back in 2011 at the world premiere of the comedy A Few Best Men. Olivia Newton-John, who my hubby has handled publicity duties for for over 20 years, co-starred in the flick with Rebel. I can honestly tell you we knew then that Rebel had a big career ahead of herself.
