Ohio Residents Clap Back At Anti-LGBTQ Billboards + More

Happy Monday! Some news items for you as we head into the new week:

Pink News: Anti-LGBTQ+ billboards funded by the Seattle-based organization Them Before Us have sparked widespread backlash across rural Ohio, with residents and advocacy groups launching their own campaign in support of LGBTQ+ families (see lead image).

Queerty: Some Christian fitness bros are opening a chain of all-male “lust-free” gyms to deal with their infidelity issues with women. Who’s going to tell them? 

The Advocate: Education Secretary Linda McMahon claims schools are secretly transitioning children. They aren’t.

The Daily Mail: A Mississippi pastor’s adult son (27) has been arrested over allegations he impregnated a 14-year-old living at the family home. The church reportedly held a baby shower for the teen after she found out she was pregnant.

NPR: Kalshi, the company leading the prediction market craze, is big mad at a Wisconsin elections commission for reminding voters that they cannot place a bet in an election in which they cast a ballot due to an 1849 state law.  Oh – did I mention Donald Trump Jr. is an advisor to the company?

JoeMyGod: Donald Trump is demanding that the U.S. Senate cancel its scheduled recess in order get rid of the chamber’s filibuster rule and pass his beloved “SAVE America Act.”

Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) declined saying, “Republicans are not getting rid of the legislative filibuster.”
