Newsmax talking head Rob Schmitt had an on-air meltdown upon finding out the Buffalo Bills are “proud to support the National Gay Flag Football League (NGFFL) with a sponsorship to launch a chapter in Buffalo.” Such announcements aren’t unusual, especially during Pride Month. But, the haters love to have something to grouse about.

During Wednesday’s Rob Schmitt Tonight, the host appeared equal parts incredulous and despondent during a segment called “News From the Left.”
“And finally, when you thought you could escape all the Pride Month propaganda by watching football, apparently not,” said Schmitt, speaking at a time when the NFL regular season does not begin until Sept. 5. “The Buffalo Bills is the latest NFL franchise supporting a new National. Gay. Flag. Football League! What?!”
“I, I, I, literally just asked the producers,” a flustered Schmitt continued. “I was like, ‘Are we sure that this isn’t some kind of fake story from the Babylon Bee?’ There is a National Gay Flag Football League now. Why? Why, is the question I ask so often in this country.”
Schmitt then lowered his head, rubbed his right eye, and stated, “I need to go find my own country.”
As CNY Central notes, the National Gay Football League was founded over 22 years ago and hosts 250 teams in 26 leagues across the U.S. Other teams – such as the New York Giants, New England Patriots, Seattle Seahawks, and Washington Commanders – have also sponsored the flag football league. According to its own website, the league “seeks to promote the positive social and athletic enjoyment of American flag football.”
