• Politico: Mayor Eric Adams announced the placement of billboards denouncing the “Don’t Say Gay” law in five major Florida cities to bring state residents opposed to the legislation to New York City “where you can say whatever you want.” • New York Daily News: And in response to Mayor Adams’ billboards, the spokeswoman for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, Christina Pushaw, took to Twitter to say “Florida will be better off” without those LGBTQ folks who might leave the state. Pushaw also recently called for a Hungary-style anti-LGBTQ national referendum.

• Right Wing Watch: Mark Burns, an unabashed Christian nationalist Trump-loving pastor who is running for Congress in South Carolina, urged conservatives to start smashing the car windows of Antifa activists. • Pink News: Despite anti-LGBTQ Viktor Orbán winning re-election in Hungary, Budapest Pride refuses to be defeated. On the same day as the election, Orbán sought to cement his latest attack on queer rights with an anti-LGBTQ referendum. Although most voters backed Orbán’s position, there were not enough votes for it to become legally binding.
