London Mayor Sadiq Khan posted the image on the Transgender Day of Visibility and felt the need to turn off comments on the post. https://twitter.com/BriannaWu/status/1774868548076048804 • The Advocate: Tennessee lawmakers have passed legislation that would bar the state from excluding foster and adopting parents because of their religious or moral beliefs, including on matters of sexual and gender identity. Democrats criticized the bill as potentially dangerous if queer kids are sent to “hostile” environments where they aren’t supported or accepted. • Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel: Gov. Tony Evers has vetoed a bill that would have banned transgender and gender nonconforming youth from participating on school athletic teams that align with their gender identity. Evers has promised to veto such legislation since last year. https://twitter.com/GovEvers/status/1775159927545245740 • JoeMyGod: Conservative websites falsely claimed the Biden administration “banned” religious symbolism on eggs as part of the White House Easter egg art contest. The language regarding submitted artwork for the contest has been the same for 45 years. • Washington Post: Seven World Central Kitchen workers traveling in a “deconflicted zone” were killed during an Israeli strike in Gaza.
Confirmed that the aid workers, who were targeted by Israel, were traveling within a “deconflicted zone” in two armored vehicles bearing the WCK logo. It was revealed that their movements had been coordinated with the Israeli military.
