Million-selling singer/songwriter Thea Austin (“Rhythm Is a Dancer,” “I Can’t Get Enough”) and history-making out entertainer Karel (KFI Radio, KGO Radio, TV host, author, songwriter) have teamed up to create “We’re Not Going Back” inspired by Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign of hope. “After I saw Kamala here in Las Vegas, I had to write something,” Karel shares in a press statement. “The phrase got to me. As DEI initiatives, affirmative action and other rights are rolled back, I thought, no, she’s right, we’re not going back! I immediately thought of Thea to sing it and she graciously said yes.” Austin, a native of swing-state Pennsylvania, used her magic to make the song next level. No stranger to hits, “Rhythm Is A Dancer” is still a world-wide phenomenon celebrating 30 years. Karel made history on KFI Radio and again on KGO as the first openly gay radio host, and has been a trailblazer in entertainment writing/recording and producing his daily podcast from Las Vegas. With it’s empowering message, infectious rhythms, impeccable production and searing vocals, “We’re Not Going Back” will get folks dancing as we move towards a future of inclusion and joy. “We’re Not Going Back” is available now on all major music platforms.
