I just discovered this August 2022 clip from Britain’s Got Talent featuring five young boys who dance to stand up to bullies. Beau (12), Toby (11), Adam (10), Joey (10) and Ollie (11) introduce themselves as the “5 Star Boys,” and then live up to their chosen moniker. “We’re trying to spread the word for boys who dance because it’s not always easy for us – we kind of get bullied,” explains Beau. Toby adds, “Boys can dance if they want to; it’s not going to affect anybody else. They’re just people who are jealous of you.” 
And then they deliver this heart-stopping dance to “You Will Be Found” from the original Broadway cast recording of Dear Evan Hansen. I won’t spoil it for you, but as longtime TRR readers know, I began dancing at a young age myself. And at the same time, my pre-gay self dealt with a LOT of bullying at school. I wish I had the clarity of thought (and talent) that these guys show in this performance. By the way, their technique is pretty much off the charts. I LOVE this.
