Some news items you might have missed: • Boy Culture: Mitzi Gaynor (above), who graced the big screen in South Pacific and headlined Las Vegas stages and spectacular TV specials, died on Thursday at the age of 93 of natural causes. I probably became a performer myself thanks to her awesome TV specials. The Advocate: Democratic vice presidential candidate Gov. Courthouse News: The state of Texas is suing a Dallas doctor alleging that Dr. May Chi Lau, who specializes in adolescent medicine, provided hormone replacement therapy to minors for the purpose of transitioning genders. In 2023, Texas banned hormone replacement therapy and other forms of gender-affirming care for minors.Justice Department: Peter G. Moloney, 60, pleaded guilty to a felony charge of assaulting, resisting, and impeding certain police officers at the January 6 riots armed with a bicycle helmet, protective eyewear, hard-knuckled gloves, a face mask, and a can of “Black Flag Wasp, Hornet, & Yellow Jacket Killer” aerosol spray (which he used on police officers). •X: Donald Trump is still losing his mind that VP Kamala Harris had a successful interview on CBS News’ 60 Minutes.
