Speaking to CNN’s Dana Bash this morning, former Vice President Mike Pence went full-on black and white on the issue of Donald Trump wanting to overturn the results of the 2020 election.
Trump’s team now says he was only asking Pence to “pause” the counting of electoral votes on January 6, 2020. So Bash asked if the ask was for a “pause” or “to overturn the election?”
“The day before January 6, if memory serves, they came back – his lawyers did – and said we want you to reject votes outright,” says Pence. “They were asking me to overturn the election.”
