
Out actor Matt Dallas, best known as the star of the teen sci-fi series Kyle XY, stars in the new gay romantic dramedy, Shoulder Dance.

Best friends Ira (Matt Dallas) and Roger (Rick Cosnett) haven’t seen each other in 24 years. When Roger arrives unexpectedly for the weekend, long suppressed desires dangerously resurface.
As the boundaries of friendship, love, and sex collide, the strength of Ira’s long term relationship with Josh (Taylor Frey) is tested as never before in the romantic drama Shoulder Dance.
Written and directed by Jay Arnold, the film also starsTaylor Frey, Samuel Larsen, and Maggie Geha.
Here’s the newly-released ‘first look’ trailer for Shoulder Dance.
The film premiered in Los Angeles last month at The Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival where it won the Best LGBTQ Film award and was nominated for Best Picture.
Maggie Geha was also honored with the Best Supporting Actress award. The cast took to Twitter to celebrate.

Shoulder Dance is expected to be released later this year.
Dallas came out in 2013 as he announced his engagement to now-husband Blue Hamilton. The couple tied the knot in 2015, and are raising two adopted children, Crow and Rosa.
Following Kyle XY, Dallas appeared in several films including Babysitter Wanted, Wyatt Earp’s Revenge, and Painted Woman. His television credits include Eastwicks and Baby Daddy.
