Perry Greene, husband to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has filed for divorce from the Congresswoman after 27 years of marriage.
Marjorie and Perry married in August 1995 when she was still in college at the University of Georgia. The couple have 3 children together, who are now all over the age of 18.
According to court documents, Perry Greene initiated the divorce on grounds their marriage is “irretrievably broken.” In his petition he indicated that the couple had already separated.
The congresswoman issued this statement after news of the filing broke:
“Marriage is a wonderful thing and I’m a firm believer in it. Our society is formed by a husband and wife creating a family to nurture and protect.
“Together, Perry and I formed our family and raised three great kids. He gave me the best job title you can ever earn: Mom. I’ll always be grateful for how great of a dad he is to our children.
“This is a private and personal matter and I ask that the media respect our privacy at this time.”

Greene’s request for folks to “respect our privacy at this time” is a bit laughable since MTG has made a name for herself disrespecting people at difficult times.
She famously had an aide record her following and harassing teenager David Hogg, one of the students who was a survivor of the mass shooting at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, on February 14, 2018. Fourteen of the 17 people killed were students.
The video shows Greene tailing Hogg as he walked toward the Capitol in March 2018 to advocate for gun control, just weeks after he survived the deadly shooting. Hogg was 17 years old at the time. How was THAT “respecting” privacy???
This was a kid who just weeks earlier had seen his fellow students get gunned down in cold-blood. But Greene’s version of “respecting privacy” was to harass the teenager on the streets.
Aside from Marjorie Taylor Greene’s divorce, she’s continued to garner headlines for hideous behavior. That has resulted in being permanently banned from Twitter for spreading misinformation, and stripped of her committee assignments in Congress.
.@mtgreenee, is this you harassing @davidhogg111 weeks after the Parkland shooting, that my daughter was killed in & he was in? Calling him a coward for ignoring your insanity. I will answer all of your questions in person. Get ready to record again.pic.twitter.com/aQjL74x7kh

Marjorie Taylor Greene's husband files for divorce. Wouldn't it be nice if Georgia does the same come November?
