Some news items to start your week:
• The New Republic: Newly-freed serial liar George Santos may not be completely out of the woods. A New York law passed in 2019 specifically allows the state to bring similar charges against anyone who had received “a reprieve, pardon, or other form of clemency” from the president.
• LGBTQ Nation: This viral video captured a MAGA loudmouth shouting homophobic slurs at No Kings protestors in Denver, Colorado, shortly before face planting twice on the pavement, causing his face to bleed. #karma

• Boy Culture: Spot-on review of the new movie musical Kiss of the Spider Woman starring Jennifer Lopez. The film has performed poorly in movie theaters even though non-binary actor Tonatiah, who plays an imprisoned gay window dresser, has scored raves from critics.
• Pink News: Two-time Oscar nominee Colman Domingo has confirmed that he will voice the “Cowardly Lion” in Wicked: For Good.
• Axios: Great article on buyers’ interest in fixer-upper homes. I’m not surprised to see my city, Las Vegas, ranks among those with the fewest fixers available as they’ve become so popular among buyers. Great read.
• NPR: The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit today has ruled that Donald Trump CAN deploy National Guard units to Portland, Oregon.
JUST IN: The appeals court overturned the ruling of a lower court judge in Oregon, and clears the way for President Trump to deploy the National Guard to Portland.
