Madonna announced on Tuesday a greatest hits world tour launching July 15 in Vancouver, BC.
“The Celebration Tour” will hit 35 cities along the way ending in Amsterdam on December 1.
The queen of pop made the announcement via a video parody (totally NSFW) of her 1991 “Truth or Dare” wherein Amy Schumer dares Madonna to go on tour and perform her greatest hits.
Bob the Drag Queen was announced as special guest on all dates.
According to the official announcement, the 35-city tour “will take us on Madonna’s artistic journey through four decades and pays respect to the city of New York where her career in music began.”
“I am excited to explore as many songs as possible in hopes to give my fans the show they have been waiting for,” Madonna said in the announcement.
As you may know, some fans (some, not all) have groused in the past about not getting enough of the “hits” in Madonna’s more recent tours.
Reminder – Madge shows up when she feels like it. So if you purchase tickets, make sure you plan for delays that evening.
