QAnon Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) took to Twitter on Friday to say it should be illegal for LGBTQ youth to come out before reaching the age of 21.
We require people to be 21 to purchase alcohol beverages, and 21 to purchase tobacco products.
Why is it so unreasonable to require people to reach a certain level of maturity before making life-altering decisions about their sexuality and identity?

I’m not sure if Boebert’s ‘requirements’ would also pertain to straight young people having to wait until they are 21 to “decide” they’re straight…?
p.s. sexuality and gender identity aren’t “choices”…
Mind you, this is someone who was a high school dropout, supports full unfettered access to guns, and opposes marriage equality. She even voted against reauthorizing the National Bone Marrow Donor Program. #srsly
In addition to her own run-ins with the law, her husband Jayson Boebert (boyfriend at the time) was arrested in 2004 after allegedly exposing his penis to two women at a bowling alley. Lauren Boebert (then age 17 and known as Lauren Opal Roberts) was present at the time. Jayson Boebert pleaded guilty to public indecency and lewd exposure.
So, no one can be straight until they’re 21?
You are an idiot.

Boebert’s hubby wasn’t too concerned about whether the teens he exposed himself were old enough to decide their sexuality now was he?

You were 16 or 17 when you made the life altering decision to have sex, pop out a kid, quit school and get married.

So…guns too then, right? They have to be 21 to buy a gun everybody!

I don’t know how to break this to you, but sexuality is not something you purchase as an add-on. It comes pre-installed on the hard drive.
