Lauren Boebert: A Tragedy In Way Too Many Acts

At first, I wasn’t all that surprised by the news that far-right, anti-LGBTQ Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) behaved poorly at a performance of Beetlejuice: The Musical (intended for ages 10 and up) in Denver last week.

According to The Denver Post,  Boebert was reportedly “vaping, singing, recording and ‘causing a disturbance’ during the performance.”

Because…of course.

The fact that she was loud and obnoxious, taking flash photos of the show onstage (big no-no), and vaping during the show seems pretty on point for her. And that she threw a middle finger to the theater officials after they asked her to leave – perfectly her brand.

Initially, her campaign denied that she was vaping during the show, instead pointing to a smoke machine that was part of the production as the cloud culprit. But then, a video surfaced clearly showing her vaping away in her seat.

And that’s when Boebert actually did something unusual by issuing an apology online Friday for “the unwanted attention” she brought to Denver. She blamed her actions on her recent divorce that led her to fall “short of my values.” Somehow, that caused her to ” not recall” vaping in the theater.

Many political pundits believe the “apology” came due to her lagging in re-election polls. Remember, she won her last election by barely 500 votes.

Mind you, she didn’t address the video footage that showed her new boyfriend fondling her breast while sitting in their seats. The same footage wherein she reached over and groped his junk. Watch the video clip below.

The Daily Mail reported that Boebert has been “secretly dating” Aspen bar owner Quinn Gallagher since the Republican filed for divorce back in May. Did I mention that Gallagher’s bar has hosted drag shows in the past – something Boebert has vehemently railed against? #hypocrisy

On a Sunday appearance on One America News, Boebert changed her tune again, this time describing her bad behavior as being “a little too eccentric” and admitting she has “an animated personality.”

Today, Boebert appeared to tell TMZ that the evening had been a first and last date with Gallagher and that she’s learned to “check party affiliation” before going on a date.

This morning, Ana Navarro of The View had had enough of it all and called out Boebert for being “X-rated” and a “trash queen.”

“No honey, you weren’t eccentric. You were X-rated! This was not a performance of Fifty Shades Of Grey, it was a performance of Beetlejuice. This weekend I was reading all this stuff, and I was thinking to myself, ‘It’s like Republicans gone wild.

“You’ve got this woman — Boebert — getting kicked out because she was getting fondled in the middle of a matinee. Then you’ve got Kristi Noem, the governor of [South] Dakota, who’s allegedly in an affair with Corey Lewandowski, who’s also married — both of them are.

“Then you’ve got Donald Trump, who’s like 50 points ahead of everybody else. Cheated on his first wife with a second, on the second with the third, on the third with a stripper and a Playboy Bunny, who they had to pay hush money to.

“I’ll tell you what the problem with all of this is. It’s the hypocrisy! The hypocrisy of it all! God forbid a child see the fake boobies of a drag queen. Apparently, the fake boobies of a trash queen are OK.”
