• The Advocate: Sacramento’s city council has voted unanimously to declare the capital of California a sanctuary city for transgender people ensuring local resources are not used to aid law enforcement from other jurisdictions in their attempts to prosecute the families of minors receiving gender-affirming care. • LGBTQ Nation: A new study revealed that the New York Times failed to get comment from a transgender person in 66% of its stories regarding anti-transgender legislation, pointing to a lack of transgender voices in stories that directly involve trans people. https://twitter.com/lgbtqnation/status/1773107798538178637 • New York Times: Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder of the FTX cryptocurrency exchange who was convicted of stealing billions of dollars from customers, was sentenced to 25 years in prison on Thursday.
