NPR: Several federal judges who have ruled the Trump administration could not swiftly deport migrants under the Alien Enemies Act did their homework finding dozens of examples of how the term “invasion” was used when the law was written and not applicable for recent deportations. • Axios: The House Budget Committee rejected Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” today as four hardline conservatives sank the bill saying they want to see more aggressive spending cuts, particularly to Medicaid.

Clown Central: Donald Trump predictably threw a temper tantrum on social media after the Supreme Court ruled against him in his use of the Alien Enemies Act. Please note – while The Donald claims due process would take “long, protracted, and expensive legal process….many years for each person” – what sane people are asking for aren’t years long court cases but immigration hearings (which the Constitution calls for) before shipping people off to a hideous gulag for the rest of their lives.
