It Is Officially ‘The Randy Report Day’ In Las Vegas

Color me honored and surprised as I share that it is officially ‘The Randy Report Day’ here in Las Vegas – by proclamation of the mayor herself!

The proclamation reads:

Whereas; for nearly 14 years Randy Slovacek’s The Randy Report has been the leading LGBTQ voice in Las Vegas covering the daily news cycle regarding politics, pop culture, and entertainment news for the LGBTQ community and its allies; and

Whereas; with over 30,000 articles, plus nearly 300 podcast episodes, The Randy Report has become the trusted news source for Las Vegas’ queer community while also supporting and promoting arts and entertainment on the Las Vegas Strip and the acclaimed Smith Center for the Performing Arts; and

Whereas; Randy Slovacek has interviewed such luminaries as Olivia Newton-John, Rita Moreno, Judith Light, Betty Buckley, Jon Secada, and more; and

Whereas; Randy Slovacek has also written for prominent Las Vegas publications including VEGAS Magazine, QVegas Magazine, and Las Vegas Pride Magazine; and

Whereas; PRNewswire has named The Randy Report “One of the Top LGBTQ Blogs You Need To Follow,” and Feedspot lists Las Vegas-based The Randy Report podcast as “One of the Top Ten LGBTQ Podcasts” in the U.S.A; and now

Therefore; I, the Mayor of the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, Hereby proudly proclaim October 17, 2023, as:

THE RANDY REPORT DAY

In the City of Las Vegas and ask all residents and visitors to join me in recognizing Mr. Randy Slovacek and The Randy Report. We thank Mr. Randy Slovacek for consistently supporting numerous Las Vegas charitable organizations including AFAN, AIDS Walk, Pride, and many others.
