• The Advocate: Rebecca Reynolds, a firefighter in Kansas City, claimed in two lawsuits that she has endured decades of abuse from her male coworkers who often targeted her for being a lesbian and for her age. She’s now been awarded $1.3 million settlement. • Politico: After Rep. Clay Higgins (R-La.) infuriated many of his House colleagues with his since-deleted racist X post about Haitian migrants, a top Black Democrat has called for a censure vote on the congressman. His deleted tweet below. 
• New York Times: NYC Mayor Eric Adams was defiant on Thursday in the face of five federal charges of bribery, fraud and soliciting illegal foreign campaign donations. Adams is the first sitting NYC mayor to face criminal indictment. • JoeMyGod: An American journalist who runs an independent newsletter published a document today that appears to have been stolen from Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. Elon Musk, the Trump-supporting owner of X who purports himself to be an advocate for “free speech,” promptly banned the journalist from X.
