In an attempt to get a more complete understanding of who embattled Rep. George Santos (R-NY) really is (or was?), ABC News managed to speak to former boyfriends of the truth-challenged congressman.
Those ex-boyfriends today paint a picture of manipulation, promised green cards, and catfishing.

From ABC News:
Leandro Bis said he was 19 years old when he met Santos at a bar in Manhattan in 2013, when Bis was in town from Brazil. Bis told ABC News in an interview that he knew the now-embattled congressman as Anthony Zabrovski, one of a handful of aliases that Santos has reportedly used over the years.
Bis said that over the next few weeks, he began a romantic relationship with Santos, who was 25 at the time. Bis recalled Santos telling him tales of dating supermodels and how they still begged him to become a model himself.
But Bis said he would later find out those claims were lies, and the relationship quickly turned “toxic” — filled with what Bis said were “manipulative” things that Santos told him to keep him from leaving.
“He promised the world,” Bis said of Santos, who Bis said at one point promised to marry him in order to help him secure U.S. citizenship.

There’s much more – including more details from former bf Pedro Vilarva, who was 18-years-old and still in high school when he met Santos (who was 26). Vilarva eventually lived with Santos and Santos’ wife for a period although Vilarva says he had no idea the couple were married.
The relationship finally ended when lies began to pile up and Vilarva searched the internet for the names Santos had used in the past. What Vilarva found led him to pack up his belongings and leave.
Kevin Guzman remembers Santos from over a decade ago when Santos pursued him romantically, but Guzman demurred. He later found out that Santos not only told people they were dating, but the future congressman allegedly used Guzman’s photo on dating apps as his own.
Apparently George Santos was promising boyfriends that he could get them green cards.
It’s like peeling an onion with this guy, one horror after another.https://t.co/nSc9OTL5AF
