Former Prince Andrew Arrested On Epstein-Related Charges

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor (formerly Prince Andrew) was released 11 hours after being arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

He’s the first royal-born Briton to be arrested in nearly 400 years.

From Axios:

The second son of the late Queen Elizabeth II now becomes the most prominent associate of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein to face criminal consequences for his dealings with the disgraced financier.

Mountbatten-Windsor has consistently denied wrongdoing in connection with his relationship with Epstein.

In the latest round of Epstein files, however, emails showed he may have forwarded confidential trade documents to Epstein, an allegation police cited in a statement about his arrest.

Andrew’s brother, King Charles III, said in a Thursday statement following the arrest, “Let me state clearly: the law must take its course.”

In his remarks regarding the arrest, Donald Trump made the truly Trumpian move of making it all about himself: “I’m the expert in a way because I’ve been totally exonerated. [that’s a lie] That’s very nice.”
