A similar version of the bill died in May 2023 after gaining little traction. • The Hill: Disgraced former congressman George Santos is proud to say he doesn’t know who LGBTQ icons Harvey Milk or James Baldwin are. He also believes he will return to Congress because he says he can “outlive” his former colleagues. https://twitter.com/thehill/status/1736845306245824620 • NBC News: A Federal Court of Appeals rejected former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows’s request to remove his case from Georgia’s Fulton County to a federal court, ruling that his conduct on January 6th “was not related to Meadows’s official duties.” • LGBTQ Nation: A new lawsuit alleges the folks at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) knew about several instances of chairman Matt Schlapp sexually abusing younger men but did nothing about it.
