• JoeMyGod: Donald Trump claims he “did very well with the gay vote” because he played “YMCA” at his rallies. According to NBC News exit polls, Trump received 12% of the LGBTQ vote in 2024 to former Vice President Kamala Harris’ 86% — worse than he did in 2016.

• Washington Blade: Introducing the Torchbearers Awards honoring the quiet architects of progress in the LGBTQ community who organize, advocate, build, and protect, often without fanfare but always with purpose.
• Washington Post: It looks like dispatching ICE agents to help at airports hasn’t reduced security line wait times, according to data from affected airports. Fliers on Wednesday were still taking four or more hours to clear security at Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport.

• AP News: In a truly ironic way to mark the 250th anniversary of our independence from a mad king, the Treasury Department plans to put Donald Trump’s signature on all new U.S. paper currency – a first for a sitting president, since traditionally, U.S. paper currency carries the signatures of the Treasury Secretary and the Treasurer, not the president.
