FBI Arrests Man Planning Anti-LGBTQ Terrorism In Puerto Rico + More

Some news stories I thought worth your time:

Justice Department: The FBI’s office in Puerto Rico has arrested Robinson De La Cruz Hilario (above) following an investigation that uncovered repeated online threats of mass violence targeting the LGBTQ community, as well as the receipt and possession of illegal child porn.

Facebook: So, I have no details on who created this, but the tune is catchy and the visuals funny – “Trump’s Green Swamp Pool Party Pavilion.”

NBC News: The District of Columbia has agreed to pay $50,000 to settle a lawsuit filed by a resident who police officers illegally detained for following an Ohio National Guard patrol while playing Darth Vader’s theme song from “Star Wars” on his cellphone. You have to admit it’s a funny idea…

Queerty: This Major League Baseball fan’s story about attending a game with his boyfriend is why Pride Nights matter.

LGBTQ Nation: Two anti-LGBTQ+ Republican members of Congress are demanding that an Irish dance organization kick a trans teen out of an upcoming competition, arguing that trans women have a “biological” advantage over cis women.

NPR: Rep. Tom Kean Jr. (R-NJ) returned to Congress today after a nearly four month unexplained absence. Kean told reporters a depression diagnosis led to his extended hospitalization.

What To Watch: This looks fascinating. The new documentary, The Last Guest of the Holloway Motel, tells the tale of former soccer star Tony Powell. Decades after disappearing from the public eye, he lives alone at West Hollywood’s Holloway Motel. Facing eviction, he must confront the secrets, relationships and regrets that have haunted him for decades.

The Last Guest of the Holloway Motel is available on Apple TV beginning July 1.
