Exit Poll: LGBTQ Voters Moved Further Away From Trump In 2024

Donald Trump may have won the 2024 presidential election, but it wasn’t LGBTQ voters who got him across the finish line. The NBC News Exit Poll shows VP Kamala Harris garnered 86% of the LGBTQ vote compared to just 12% for Trump.

That represents a 15 point drop for Trump from 2020.

According to NBC News, Harris’ performance among LGBTQ voters was stronger than any Democrat in the last five presidential elections. The survey also shows more voters identified as LGBTQ this year – 8% – than any year on record. That number has doubled since 2008 when 4% of voters identified as queer. Ironically, GOP vice presidential candidate JD Vance claimed before Election Day that he and Trump would win the “normal gay guy” vote. #nope
