International pop star Cyndi Lauper, “The Twist” singer Chubby Checker, and grunge rock band Soundgarden were among the acts chosen for induction this year into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Also selected for induction this year – English rock group Bad Company, hip-hop act Outkast, rock and blues singer Joe Cocker and garage rock duo The White Stripes.

The 2025 inductees were announced during the Sunday night airing of “American Idol” on ABC. The induction ceremony will stream live on Disney + from Los Angeles on November 8. In order to be eligible, artist must have released their first recording at least 25 years ago. Inductees are chosen by industry experts and fans.
