Capitol Rioter: “I’m A F*cking Piece Of Sh*t”

A Trump supporter who has been charged for taking part in the violent invasion of the U.S. Capitol building on January 6 called himself a “f**king piece of s**t” during his interview with the FBI.

Daniel “D.J.” Rodriguez, who was arrested for electroshocking D.C. Police Officer Mike Fanone a month after he was identified in a HuffPost story, broke down while speaking to the FBI following his arrest, crying as he told agents he was a “fucking piece of shit” and expressed concern that his “mom’s going to find out” what he did.

Rodriguez, according to a transcript of his FBI interview filed in court by his defense attorney on Friday, said that he became radicalized watching videos on InfoWars and from conservative commentators like Steven Crowder, Mark Dice, and the Hodgetwins that convinced him of the conspiracy theory that Trump actually won the election.

“Are we all that stupid that we thought we were going to go do this and save the country and it was all going to be fine after? We really thought that. That’s so stupid, huh?” he told the FBI.

Rodriguez was identified by a group of online detectives who call themselves Deep State Dogs. A broader community of “Sedition Hunters” has helped identify hundreds of the rioters who invaded the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6.
