• Gay Times: Fans of The Bold and the Beautiful have expressed concerns over where the show is taking its first gay male couple played by Harrison Cone and Christian Weissmann (above).
• MPR News: Prosecutors have charged a self-described “right wing libertarian” in connection with a vandalism spree that targeted LGBTQ Pride flags in St. Paul, Minnesota as well as smashing windows at a bookstore, coffee shop and school that cost more than $14,000 to repair altogether.

• Texas Tribune: Three Dallas residents are suing the city of Dallas to strike down dozens of local ordinances (including LGBTQ protections) they say violate a 2023 law which prohibits cities from passing some local ordinances that go further than certain broad areas of state law.
• The Advocate: Trump’s Dept. of Education has unveiled a new policy that will make workers of LGBTQ nonprofits ineligible for student loan forgiveness under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program, which forgives student loans of those who work for non-profit organizations after they’ve made payments for ten years (120 payments).

• Axios: A new Washington Post-ABC News-Ipsos poll shows 45% of Americans say Trump and the GOP are responsible for the ongoing federal shutdown, while 33% blamed Democrats, and another 22% say they’re not sure who’s responsible.
• Politico: Another poll shows 56% of Americans said they oppose Trump’s $300 million ballroom, with just 28% expressing support for it. Three times as many ‘strongly oppose’ it (45%) as ‘strongly support’ it (15%).
