Some news items you might have missed: • USA Today: Out Leadership ranks the business climate for LGBTQ people state by state, mapping out where they can live and work with the least discrimination and hardship. This year, New York comes out on top, and Arkansas lands in last place.

Major League Baseball: Major League Baseball player Tucupita Marcano has been banned for violating the league’s gambling policies. The last active player to receive a lifetime ban for gambling was New York Giants outfielder Jimmy O’Connell in 1924. • X: Nutjob Rep.
