Mark Robinson (R) trailing even further behind Attorney General Josh Stein (D) in the race for governor (54%-38%) since news of his lewd and racist comments online. • Deadline: John Amos (Good Times, Roots and The Mary Tyler Moore Show), who lent the 1970s a solid share of its too-few portrayals of strong Black male role models, died August 21 in Los Angeles of natural causes. He was 84.
