Some news items you might have missed: • The Guardian: Out action star Luke Evans (Beauty and the Beast, Nine Perfect Strangers) reveals in his new memoir, “I was bullied for being gay before I even understood what it meant.” His new action film, Weekend in Taiwan opens November 8. • Kenneth-in-the-212: This week’s round-up of the latest in LGBTQ publications includes the Health Issue (physical, mental and sexual) of DNA Magazine. 
• Washington Blade: Check out this list of LGBTQ candidates running in key races for the U.S. Senate, House of Representatives and state offices. The article includes whether they are favored (or not) to win their races. • The Advocate: A new ad from the National LGBTQ Task Force, the Transgender Law Center, and Way to Rise aims to counter the anti-trans, anti-immigrant, and racist rhetoric coming from Republican candidates, including Donald Trump. • ProPublica: Josseli Barnica was 17 weeks into her pregnancy when she miscarried. Her doctors said they had to wait until there was no heartbeat to help empty her uterus or it would seen as an illegal abortion. They waited 40 hours. She died three days later of deadly infection. This is Texas abortion law. • Semafor: Announcing The Economist’s endorsement of VP Kamala Harris for president, Editor in Chief Zanny Beddoes said: “We have editorials every week advising politicians around the world on what to do. So it would be weird for us not to put that together and offer our assessment of a candidate.”
