September 23 is Celebrate Bisexuality+ Day and the end of this year’s #BiWeek. https://twitter.com/SecretaryPete/status/1441009763668594691 Annually, from September 16-23, GLAAD, the Bisexual Resource Center, and Still Bisexual recognize the bisexual+ community for Bisexual Awareness Week. Bisexual+ Awareness Week seeks to accelerate acceptance of the bi+ (bisexual, pansexual, fluid, no label, queer, etc.) community. #BiWeek draws attention to the experiences, while also celebrating the resiliency of the bisexual+ community. Throughout #BiWeek, allies and bi+ people learn about the history, culture, community, and current policy priorities of bi+ communities. Some 41% of LGBTQ adults identify as bisexual, according to a recent study from the Williams Institute. https://twitter.com/LetsTalkLGBT_/status/1438433028678852608 “Bisexual+ people represent the majority of the LGBTQ community, yet we remain underrepresented in entertainment media and often misunderstood as a result,” said Megan Townsend, GLAAD’s Director of Entertainment Research & Analysis and bisexual advocate. “As the bi+ community continues to grow, we’re proud to celebrate #BiWeek alongside our partners at The Bisexual Resource Center and #StillBisexual – uplifting our community and shining a spotlight on outstanding stories reflecting the full diversity of all bi+ people.” Click here for a list of bi-inclusive TV shows curated by GLAAD. https://twitter.com/glaad/status/1441136539984019459 https://twitter.com/Most/status/1441084950602780672 https://twitter.com/TheBluestStar/status/1440948548158296064
