Thirty years ago today Olivia Newton-John’s mega-hit “Physical” reached #1 and stayed at the top of the charts for 10 weeks becoming the longest-running #1 single of the 1980s.
Olivia says she almost didn’t release the song thinking it was too racy. The video’s workout vibe was created to distract from the oh-so-sexual innuendo of the lyrics.
