• LGBTQ Nation: Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) has described herself as a “proud transphobe,” continuing her crusade to be the most anti-trans member of Congress.
• New York Times: Former Vice President Kamala Harris announced she will not run for governor of California leaving open the door to a presidential bid in 2028.

• CTV News: Following similar moves by France and the U.K., Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced plans for Canada to recognize the state of Palestine at the next session of the United Nations General Assembly in September.
• JoeMyGod: Scott Soucek, an uber-Trump supporter who said in 2024 that he was casting his vote to fight child trafficking, has been charged with 10 counts of possessing child pornography. Among the 100s of images he’d reportedly downloaded were pics of of young children and bestiality.
It’s worth noting he is the husband of Stephanie Soucek, the chairwoman of the Door County Republican Party.
